District 15-3A results

The Cross Country runners competed Monday, October 9th on the campus of Northeast Texas Community College at the District 15-3A meet. Ally Tatum, 13:38, finished as the District Runner-Up allowing her to advance to the Regional meet later this month. This will be Tatum’s first appearance at the regional meet. Kylie Caraway, 14:58, finished in 12th place followed by Lizzy Still in 13th place, 15:00 in the varsity girls race. Logan Langewisch will return to regional competition with his ninth place finish in the boys race with a time of 20:29. Cooper Tucker finished in 14th place with a time of 21:16, followed by Nathan Watson, 22:19, in 19th, Kaleb Glenn in 20th, 22:22 and Luke Bueno in 23rd with a time of 22:51. The boys finished in fourth place as a team. In the JV boys race Keenan Jalomo finished in first place with a time of 20:15. Regional competition will be Monday, October 23rd at Lynn Creek Park in Grand Prairie. In the junior high girls race Maddie Hart collected some hardware and a personal best on a tough course finishing in tenth place with a time of 15:45. Miranda Frazier finished in 26th place in a time of 19:22. In the junior high boys race there were several personal best performances and very good team running at their most important meet of the season. Nathan Stringer continued his streak of leading the Roughnecks with a career best time of 13:38 for 7th place. Emry Morris just missed a personal best for the season, and still ran very well for this course. Morris finished in 14:44 for 18th place. Brynton Shelton, 15:14, placed 23rd, Cole Jordan, 16:23, 29th, and rounding out the team scoring was Shay Richardson in 34th place in a time of 17:38. All of these performances were personal bests for the season. Richardson was closely followed in 35th place by Eli Fritsche with a time of 17:40 also a personal best for the season. Stoney Larison, 36th, 17:42, Maddox Paul, 39th, 18:04, and Michael Lee, 43rd, 19:00 all ran their best racing times of the season.

Sophomores Ally Tatum and Logan Langewisch will advance to the Regional Cross Country meet on October 23rd.
