Hawkins Meet Results

The cross country teams competed in their last race of the season before heading into district competition in a few weeks. In the varsity boys race Cooper Tucker ran his fastest time of the season finishing in 25th place in a time of 19:39. Logan Langewisch followed in 20:18 for 45th, while Nathan Watson, 20:57, returned to action with his fastest time of the season for 55th place in a race that saw 100 runners cross the line. Keenan Jalomo finished first in the JV boys race in a time of 19:17. In the varsity girls race Ally Tatum just missed collecting some hardware this weekend finishing the two mile course in 13:41 for 13th place. Kylie Caraway finished in 25th place in a time of 14:28, and Lizzy Still finished 42nd for a time of 15:25 out of 75 runners. The junior high runners competed in one of their larger races of the season. There were 175 runners in the junior high boys race and 127 runners in the junior high girls race. Nathan Stringer led the way for the boys in 53rd place for a season best time of 14:19. Stringer was followed closely by Emry Morris who also ran his fastest time of the season in 14:27 for 57th place. Cole Jordan placed 123rd, 17:12, Shay Richardson, 138th, 18:11, and Eli Fritsche 144th, 18:42, to round out the scoring for the Roughnecks. Stoney Larison placed 146th with a time of 18:48 and Michael Lee finished the two mile course in 20:29 for 158th place. In the girls race Miranda Frazier ran her best time of the season in 18:39 for 96th place. The next race slated for the runners is the District 15-3A meet on October 9th at Northeast Texas Community College (NTCC) in Mt. Pleasant. This will be the final race of the season for the junior high runners, however the top 10 individuals and top 3 teams in the varsity races will advance to regional competition in Garland on October 23rd.
