Quitman Meet Results

The early morning trip to Quitman provided the cross country teams with a fast flat course and cooler temperatures this weekend. Logan Langewisch ran a personal best 18:43 in the varsity boys race to finish in 34th position. Ally Tatum collected some hardware in tenth place with a personal best of 13:24. Kylie Caraway, 23rd, 14:09, and Lizzy Still, 30th, 14:33 also ran season best times over the two mile course. In the JV boys race Keenan Jalomo led all runners in 18:41. He was followed by Luke Bueno in 21:21 for 10th place, a personal best, and Jackson Standard in 14th for 22:21 also a personal best. The junior high runners also improved their times from the previous races with everyone running personal bests. Nathan Stringer led the Roughnecks in 14:25 for 37th place. He was followed by Emry Morris in 15:25, 66th, Cole Jordan, 16:23, 87th, and Brynton Shelton in 88th place for a time of 16:24. Stoney Larison rounded out the scoring for the team in 100th place in a time of 17:19. Shay Richardson finished in 110th place, 18:22, Michael Lee, 118th, 19:18, and Maddox Paul, 119th for 19:22. In the girls race Maddie Hart raced to another top 30 finish in 27th place for a time of 16:01, and Miranda Frazier finished in 66th place for a time of 18:53. The teams will travel to Hawkins this weekend for their last meet before District competition. This course is traditionally flat and grassy with the opportunity to run fast times.
