State Information

It looks like rain and cool weather is in the forecast from Thursday until Tuesday in Huntsville. In order to prepare for this I have included a list of “extras” for the meet to pack with your runner. I will also tell them but just to make sure the message gets home.
Extras:
*small umbrella (I will bring some golf size ones but a small one for personal use is sufficient)
*Towel
*Old shoes for the course on Sunday, Save race day shoes for Monday
*extra socks at least 4 (there’s nothing worse then wet and cold feet)

I will have trash bags for them to use.
I would be be prepared for yourself as well. I plan on bringing my rainboots

JH pictures will be Monday at 7AM in the NMS gym

They should wear their uniform to pictures and change afterwards. Make sure to bring a change of clothes with you and your backpack or drawstring bag to turn in.

Picture packets will be available on Monday. Your runner can take one home on Monday and decide which picture packet you would like to purchase

The Ladynecks claimed the first three spots and the District title today. Olivia Sipes led the Ladynecks with a 12:31.44 first place finish just edging out Shaynee Tyl in 12:31.84. CeCe Hernandez was right behind them in third with a time of 12:51. Bella Sacco also finished in the top ten in ninth to collect some hardware. In the boys race Clay McNeese finished in second place in 16:29, followed by teammate Dylan Harris in third (16:38).

In the JH girls race, Katie Williamson (13:44) captured the individual team title and led the Ladynecks to a first place team title. Katie was followed by a pack of Ladynecks, placing seven runners in the top 10.Stephen Thomas placed

REGIONAL CHAMPIOMSHIP INFORMATION

The District meet will be held at Elysian Fields High School on October 17th.
This will be the final race of the season for the Junior High teams, however the top three teams and top 10 individuals in the Varsity divisions will advance to the Regional Championship on October 26th in Huntsville.

We will meet at 6:00 and leave at 6:15 from the shed.

The last tune up race before the District meet was held at Gilmer on Saturday. The Varsity Boys finished 8th as a team led by Dylan Harris in 3rd place, 16:08. The Varsity girls finished 4th as a team led by Shaynee Tyl’s 2nd place finish in 12:46. The JH girls finished 3rd as a team led by Jaden James’ 13th place finish in 13:59.
