Three members of the White Oak XC team competed in the CASA Superhero 5K on Saturday, August 12th at Guthrie Park in Longview. Returning members Logan Langewisch and Nathan Watson placed 8th and 9th in the 15-19 age division in times of 22:40 and 22:50. Rookie member Ally Tatum placed second overall in the female division and first place in the 15-19 age division in a time of 22:45. The Superhero 5k is an annual fundraising event for East Texas CASA. CASA is an organization whose volunteers advocate for and represent children throughout Gregg, Rusk, and Upshur counties that are in the child protection system. Good racing for a good cause.
