Hallsville Meet Results

The Roughnecks and Ladynecks returned to action Saturday, September 11th at the Hallsville Flying H Invitational. This was one of largest races of the season with 48 schools represented throughout the morning’s races. The course features dirt and grass trails with rolling hills. Comparatively this is a harder course than some of the flat grassy courses the runners face during the season. The girls started the morning with top ten finishes from Lizzy Still and Abby Lobue. Still finished the 2-mile course in 13:00 minutes flat for a personal best and third place finish. Lobue also PR’d in 14:10 with a ninth place finish. Abby Quesenberry returned to action after illness and injury to place 107th out of 162 runners for a time of 17:30. In the boys race, Nathan Green led the boys with a seventh place finish for 18:28. Green was followed by Alberto Soto in 18:52 for 12th place. Adrian Pinson finished in 32nd place for 20:15 followed by Logan Dugger in 65th in a time of 21:10. The boys race saw 148 runners complete the course. The Junior High runners also returned to racing this weekend. In the girls race Sophie Fisher finished in 113th place for a time of 19:57, and Addisen Morris, in her first race, finished in 138th place for 21:05. The girls race saw 188 runners complete the course. Logan Languish lead the Junior High boys team in a 37th for a time of 14:26. Levi Sipes finished 67th, 15:19, Copper Tucker finished in 16:09, 100th, Hayden Hunter, 16:45 for 119th, and rounding out the team scoring was Luke Bueno in 140th for 17:25. Markham Rosenburg and Jackson Standard made their cross country racing debut this weekend as well. Rosenburg, finished in 17:43 for 143rd place, and Standard finished in 18:41, 161st place. The Junior High boys race saw 203 runners complete the course. The High School Cross Country runners will compete at the Pine Tree XC meet held at Lear Park on Friday, September 17th. The Junior High Cross Country runners will be idle this weekend, and return to action on Saturday, September 25th at Union Grove.
