The Ladynecks and Roughnecks kicked off the 2025 season at the Union Grove Twilight Relays held on the high school campus. The Ladynecks kicked off the night with Ally Tatum winning the girls individual race in a time of 8:19. Tatum was followed by freshman Maddie Hart in third place with a time of 8:49. In the boys individual race Luke Bueno captured the first place spot in a time of 6:56, while Henrick Rider made his White Oak debut finishing in second place for 7:03. Both White Oak relays teams placed in the top five, bringing home some hardware. Niko Soto was just edge out at the finish line for third place in a combined time of 23:47 for the team of Cooper Tucker, Kaleb Glenn, and Nathan Watson. The sophomore team of Nathan Stringer, Emry Morris, Cole Jordan and anchor Isaak Olvera placed fourth in a time of 24:27 for the 4.2 mile race. The runners will be back in action on Saturday, August 23rd at the Gilmer Go Wild Invitational.
