The White Oak Cross Country teams too home three individual titles at Elysian Fields on Saturday along with a District Championship in the Varsity girls division. Cryslan Tucker started off the morning winning the girls’ individual title with a course record of 12:00 flat. She was followed by teammates Shaynee Tyl, 2nd place, 12:44, and Cece Hernandez 3rd, 13:14. Olivia Sipes, 4th and Katie Williamson, 7th,rounded out the team scoring for the Ladynecks. Luisa Soto placed 14th in 14:42. Tucker’s performance was followed by a first place finish in the JV girls division by Tova Mellby in 15:20. Dylan Harris would defend his boys individual title from a year ago in 16:32. Morgan Benge placed second in the JH girls division with a time of 14:04. Nathan Green raced his best time of 13:39 for a 4th place finish. He was followed by Alberto Soto in 7th, 14:09 and Tristan Blair in 9th, 14:34. This race will wrap up the JH season, but the Varsity runners have earned the right to continue on to the Regional II meet held on October 23rd at Lynn Creek in Grand Prairie.
