Pine Tree Meet Results

The 8th Annual Pine Tree Pig Trot and Puddle Jump did not disappoint. This weekend the runners tackled a challenging true-to-form cross country course. The terrain was rugged with two distinctly challenging hills, one at the beginning of the course and one right before the homestretch to the finish. The runners approached the course with grit and determination, which resulted in excellent times for this course. Dylan Harris won the 4A-1A 5k division in a time of 17:26. The girls finished fourth as a team in a field of 16 teams. Cryslan Tucker finished second in 12:42, Shaynee Tyl 11th in 13:42, followed by CeCe Hernandez in 24th place in a time of 14:33. Benge ran a very good tactical race moving from 9th to 6th place mid-way through the last hill and holding off a late surge at the end. In the boys race, Aidan Kennar led the roughnecks in 34th place in a time of 13:52. Kennar was followed by teammates Nathan Green in 62nd, 15:02, and Alberto Soto, 97th place in 16:01.
