District 16-3A Results

The White Oak Cross Country teams won five of the six individual titles at Elysian Fields on Saturday along with a District Championship in the Varsity girls division. Olivia Sipes kicked off the morning winning the girls’ individual title with a course record of 12:49. She was followed closely by teammates Shaynee Tyl, 2nd place, 12:54, and Cece Hernandez 3rd, 13:08. Katie Williamson, 5th, and Luisa Soto 7th rounded out the team scoring for the Ladynecks. Sipes’ performance was followed by a first place finish in the JV girls division by Riley Edmondson. Dylan Harris would secure the boys individual team title in 16:38. Zach Herring, 3rd, 18:12, and Logan Sells 8th, 19:26, would also collect some prized hardware and earn a trip to the Regional meet in Garland. Morgan Benge led the JH girls division with a time of 14:04 and Stephen Thomas led the JH boys division in 12:44. This race will wrap up the JH season, but the Varsity runners have earned the right to continue on to the Regional II meet held on October 29th at Lynn Creek in Grand Praire.
